Our joint research and education areas include water, wastewater and solid waste management. Environmental biotechnology includes also production-driven biotechnologies saving both raw materials and energy, control of microbial problems in environmental processes as well as molecular methods for studying the structure and function of the biological systems and biological information. Our education is unique in the sense that it embraces top-level scientific activities mostly applicable to engineering practice.
